Grand Opening of Loudoun’s Only Residential
Substance Abuse Program
Meridians Recovery is proud to announce its grand opening on July 1st 2011 as a Recovery Community Organization, or (RCO). This program is ideal for those seeking a peer based residential recovery setting, for clients discharging from treatment seeking entry to the recovery community, drug court assignment, court deferment, relapse prevention or reentry to the recovery community after relapse. The goal of recovery has always been to facilitate the clients’ entry into a recovery life style. The best recovery outcomes have always been a result of lengthy stays in long term treatment, three months to a year. Not many people or their insurance companies can afford to pay these sky rocketing fees for substane abuse treatment services necessary to stave off relapse and gain solid footing in a recovery community of support. For the price of one month at almost any other substance abuse treatment center you could spend a whole year at Meridians Recovery.
We at Meridians Recovery and staff at the First Steps program are passionate about recovery from substance abuse because we all have experiences in long term recovery ourselves. It has been a dream of the founders to open a facility in Loudoun County to fill the gap in residential substance abuse services available to its community. No more will people be referred out of the local area for residential substance abuse treatment services. No longer will people be turned away because of the inability to pay for services. Everyone deserves the chance to support their desire for long term recovery from the disease of substance abuse or other behaviors that limit their ability to experience rich productive, rewarding lives and once again be a welcomed, contributing member of their families and communities.

Going Green!
Meridians Recovery is attempting to create a completely green facility reducing our environmental footprint by minimizing our consumption of community based resources. First of all Meridians will be built utilizing passive solar design and an in closed, in ground geo-hydro heating and cooling system. Producing our own electricity will be accomplished with a combination of wind and solar energy systems. Storage will be on site rather than incurring the costs associated with selling back to the power company. Finally our water consumption will be minimized by subsidizing a county water supply by drilling 3 on site wells for tap water only as well as a rain water collection and storage system. All other water usage will be maintained by a grey water recycling system.
Going green, it’s the right way to live with our planet.
