My name is Bruce H. Hall and I was a MERIDIANS RECOVERY (MR) client from April 2015 thru February 2016. The purpose of this letter is to share the contributions MR made to my recovery and present life.
I came to MR from a 2 ½ month hospital stay of which the first two weeks was intensive care due to alcoholism. My hospital condition went from critical to stable to marginally functional. Insurance money and life savings were exhausted. . I had no logical or affordable next step. My only family, my brother, found MR by talking to hospital staff.
The affordable, therefore only possible next step, a “Peer Based Recovery Support Service” program, was the answer. Alcoholics serving other alcoholics matched my needs.
I recommend MR to those families who have a man in need. Age or background is not a factor. Desire to recover and the ability/ willingness to put forth the effort following basic guidelines are the criteria for success.
At this writing, I am sober 3 ½ years and have moved on. I am grateful for MERIDIANS RECOVERY’s part in helping me in the crucial time I faced.

I first came into Meridians recovery in early 2015. I had been arrested for drug charges the week before and was able to make arrangements for a bed at Jim Gross's recovery home. He, in fact, was the one to pick me up from jail. This is just a small demonstration of the service work that Jim has given to me. Jim has not only been there for all my successes, but all my struggles as well. He has been a true mentor and friend through my whole sobriety, giving me advice on everything from working out and weight lifting to relationship problems and family issues. Without him and the Meridians house, I wouldn't have the strong foundation that I currently have. That house was more than just a roof over my head. It became a home, a place where I could feel safe and supported no matter what happened. His peer to peer recovery system made me feel like I was part of a family, like I could depend on the people around me. I felt like I was contributing to the community I lived in. Jim has always believed in me and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the amazing place where I learned I could live a happy life, clean and sober.

I am an extremely grateful recovering addict and I have a new life today, and I owe many thanks to Meridians Recovery, and all of the wonderful people that have helped me through this program.
I spent 60 days in the residential program at Meridians, and I have chosen to stay here and be a resident of the sober living program. I was really struggling in my life and I didn't know where to turn. Luckily my dad knew the directors, Jim and his wife Lori, through the church. The fact that they are believers in Christ made it an easy decision for me, as I am a Christian myself. I met with Lori, she told me about Meridians, and I moved in the next day. I knew it was where I belonged and I have never made a better decision in my life!
Meridians has truly saved me. It has given me an opportunity to start a new life. The structure and guidance given to us here is precisely what I needed. I have finally met people who know exactly how I feel, and who have been through a lot of the same things that I have. All of the people here truly support you. Whether it's Jim, who works hard to do everything he can to help us, or the interns and recovery coaches that give us lectures and take us to meetings, or Lori, who is supremely supportive. I have also been blessed with roommates who are just like me, that I can relate to and lean on. Here at Meridians, I know I always have someone I can turn to if I am struggling.
Meridians truly does teach you how to live a productive recovery lifestyle. They give you the tools you need to rebuild your life and show you how to live clean and sober. But it is always up to you to follow advice and do the footwork if you want to see the results. Since coming to Meridians, I have grown emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am much healthier, in fact, healthier than I think I've ever been in my life. I now have a job, I volunteer at my church a few days a week, and I'm even going back to school next month!
This has been a phenomenal experience for me, and I have traveled a life-changing journey. I have found out so much about myself, how to live a better life, and about recovery itself. I have met so many incredible people, and I hope to always stay in touch with them. I will never be the same, and I will never forget this place!
If you are a struggling addict and want recovery and a new life, I highly recommend Meridians Recovery. It can save your life like it saved mine!
Sincerely,
Olivia K.

I am a grateful recovering addict today and I owe many thanks to Meridians Recovery.
I spent 30 days in the residential program at Meridians. I did not know what to expect but I needed help and due to lack of insurance
, I could not afford a pricey "treatment facility" In addition to the lower cost the reason I chose Meridian Recovery is because it was recommended by someone else highly and I was told it was run by a husband and wife that were Christians which was important to me and my boyfriend. So I decided to try it.
What I found was alot of people who have been through alot of the same things I have and they all cared about me. They want to help you get on and stay on the right path. From the owner Jim who cares about everyone in his houses, his wife Lori who is also so supportive + he has interns and staff who give lectures, coach us through step work, take us to meetings, jobs
, stores, help whenever they can. Plus we have other people in the homes as well and we all have each other to talk to and lean on and help each other.
It has been an incredible journey for me personally. I have learned so much about myself and about recovery and a better way to live my life. And the people I've met I plan to keep in touch with for sure. I do want to add I had a great recovery coach J.T. thanks so much!!!!
This is a do-it-yourself recovery program. They offer all the support and assistance you need but it is up to you to want recovery. You go at your own pace but you take care of yourself. That's what I liked and it made me work harder that way.
I highly recommend Meridians to the addict who truly wants help! If you want a better life they can help you get on the right path!!!
Sincerely,
